I am a firm believer in practice makes perfect but you should spend less time making more and more beats and focus on one beat at a time to give them the quality and attention they deserve. Corleone is an Online game. The music they decide to use will represent them as a company. You’re growing as an artist and that is fantastic! I think these people have inflated your ego a little bit instead of giving you constructive criticism but since you’re posting online, I’m sure you can handle it ;). First of all, get off garage band. Find a better DAW. Best on the market includes Abelton and FL Studios. Second, don’t get so repetitive and harsh. Your sounds are funky and that’s not a bad thing but they are very in your face along side a very simple beat. In my opinion, your beats either sound too predictable or too random. The phrase “catchy” comes in play when you have the perfect amount of predictability and surprise found through your canvas of sounds. Third, get rid of sounds that don’t fit or aren’t needed. Sometimes less is more and sometimes all you need is a drawn out note. I’ve noticed that you like to use a lot of dits and duts of small sounds here and there that could be left out to lessen the blur over the picture you’re trying to create. I highly recommend you pick your favorite rap songs and try to replicate their beats as best as you can. This will train your ear for funky new rhythms that you naturally like and hear on the radio. Just so you know I’m not some dude that likes to hate on people and I know what I’m talking about, here is a piece of mine. https://youtu.be/6qPkXDkU9TQ
I have been writing music for 4 years now and will probably keep doing it as a hobby. I hope you keep this passion and see growth in the future. Life is a long journey. It’s up to you if you make it through it. Good luck, brother.
Eh, maybe. Could be implemented in a way that every min or so you get a point. Would the faction you choose only be 'attached' to you in these events or is this a fully committed decision the player makes. The ideas about the factions are interesting seeing as no one is in charge. Maybe you could randomise it so the total number of players are split into the different factions and you have to attack the enemy base and gain control of it to gain coins - used for rewards. Furthermore, the idea of fortifying your base seems sketchy to be fair. Could be interesting however. The rotating flag idea - possibly good. Maybe once a base is taken, everyone is cleared from the base. Would you only be able to use the items (from the faction using the hours) in these type of events of in the general gameplay?
@Stefan alright thats great to add onto u making all drops tempory I was thinking could u make it so the parts are automatically put into ur account and the ammo and coins still drop or you could make certain areas (not the main map) where drops aren't tempory bc if u fixed it so players can grab all the parts dropped there would not be any lag
I strongly agree. But with people calling it a ripoff of graal, its gonna cause some problems. The only chance we got is if some large youtuber actually shows it on their channel and then things might increase. Maybe try asking some bigger youtubers to promote it and review it. Then let's see what happens.
